The idea behind it

Before The 1% existed, building a serious self-improvement routine meant juggling five or six different apps simultaneously: one for workouts, another for food logging, something else for habits, a separate subscription for meditation, a different one for journaling. Each one charging you monthly. Each one with its own login, its own interface, its own set of limitations.

That idea, compounding small, consistent improvements, is the entire premise of this app. Not dramatic overnight change. Not the latest fitness trend. Set up your profile and targets

Enter your body stats: height, weight, age, and your goal. The 1% uses these to personalize your macro targets and calorie recommendations in the Nutrition Tracker. Takes less than two minutes, and you can update everything at any time.

Grant HealthKit access

Connect The 1% to Apple Health to unlock the full picture. Workouts write to your Health history automatically. Heart rate, steps, sleep, and body weight flow back in. It's the most seamless way to keep all your health data in one ecosystem.

Pick one or two features and build from there

The temptation is to switch everything on at once. Don't. The users who get the most out of The 1% are the ones who start with one or two features, usually the Workout Tracker or Habit Tracker, and add more as those become automatic. That's exactly how 1% improvements compound.

The market for self-improvement apps is full of artificial tiers, paywalled features, and in-app purchases designed to extract more money from you the more invested you become. The 1% charges $4.99 a month. Every feature, all 15 of them, is included at that price. There are no locked tiers, no premium upgrades, no features that suddenly require an extra subscription. If it's in the app, it's yours.

Your data belongs to you.

Almost everything in The 1% is stored locally on your device. Your workout logs, journal entries, habit history, and nutrition data all stay on your iPhone, even if you cancel your subscription. We don't hold your progress hostage. The only data that passes through our infrastructure is what you explicitly share with friends through the social features, and that can be deleted on request at any time.

Built by people who actually use it.

The 1% was built by two founders in their late teens who train, track their food, and use the app every day themselves. There's no product team deciding features in a boardroom. There's no growth hacking driven by MBAs. Every decision in this app comes from a genuine frustration with what existed before, and a belief that the people using it know better than anyone else what should be in it. Every feature request gets read. Many of them get built.

Everything works offline.

Workouts, runs, habits, the focus timer, journaling, meditations: all of it works without a single bar of signal. The only feature that requires connectivity is searching the nutrition database, and even that caches recently-searched items locally. The gym has patchy Wi-Fi. The trail you run doesn't have signal. None of that should stop you from logging a session, and with The 1%, it doesn't.
